God is Light
Anyone reading 1 John 1:5-2:2 must wrestle with two questions: 1) who is God? and 2) who is man? Thankfully, the Bible gives us clear answers, each with eternal significance. In this message, we see that God is light—perfect, faithful, just, and immeasurably holy. Man, in contrast, is desperately sinful, in darkness, and in need of a Savior. But God in His mercy has provided a sacrifice—Christ Jesus His son. When Christ cleanses us from our sin, we can walk in the light as He is in the light.
