Fence or Foundation
God's word speaks to every aspect of our lives, including our marriages, our rest, and our worship. In Nehemiah 9, we see this principle in practice as God's servant spoke God's word to God's people, encouraging them to reflect God's covenant with them in the life of their community. When God's word is preached, some view it as a fence that restricts our liberty. Those who trust in the Lord, however, recognize that His Word is the foundation for our lives and willingly submit to His purposes.
