The Bread of Life
What can satisfy the deepest longings of our soul? Following Jesus’ miraculous feeding of the five thousand, He retreated to the other side of the sea. But the crowds pursued Him, seeking more bread to appease their hunger. In response, Jesus freely offered the people the “bread of life”—namely, His body broken on the cross in order that all who believe in Him may know eternal life. Our ultimate satisfaction is found in Christ himself.
