The Beginning of Wisdom
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Alistair Begg explains that the fear of the Lord is humility, trust, confidence, and obedience grounded in the love that He has shown us in Christ. Because the Lord Jesus is the wisdom and righteousness of God, true wisdom can only be found in knowing Him. The duty of Christian parents is to train children in godly wisdom so that they are equipped with a foundation for living and hope for the future.
