In Galatians 2, Paul draws a vital distinction between the works of the Law and faith in Jesus Christ. The Law reveals God’s holy standard and exposes our sin, but it cannot save. The Gospel, by contrast, declares what Christ has perfectly accomplished for us—He fulfills the Law and secures our justification by faith alone. When we blur this distinction, we distort the message of grace and burden ourselves with what we cannot achieve. True gospel preaching lifts those burdens, leading believers to rest in Christ’s finished work and to joyful, grace-fueled obedience.
