- Details: Last month, ESI Colombia leader, Pastor Sebastian, led a three-day ESI Facilitator Training in Caracas for 50 Venezuelan pastors. Pray that this launch of ESI training will bring hope to that city, where the gospel need is great. In mid-September, Kep and Debbie began a six-week ministry journey across South America and Africa which will culminate on October 31. Their itinerary included ESI leadership meetings in Fortaleza, Brazil, and Montevideo, Uruguay; retreats in northern and southern South American countries; and an ESI pastors’ conference in Rwanda, Africa. Pray for lasting spiritual fruit from these meetings and for safety and rest for Kep and Debbie as they complete their journey. Suriname (Latin America). Population: 639,850 Believers: 13.8%. Nearly half the population profess to be Christian, but many have little understanding of their faith, and Christian belief is often mixed with spiritism. Pray for new life and dynamism to replace traditionalism and syncretism practiced by many. Tonga (Pacific). Population: 103,742 Believers: 15.5%. Tonga’s rich Christian heritage is a blessing but has reached the point of oversaturation. The proliferation of denominations generates competition among churches, as newer groups entice believers away. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
