- Details: Thank God for the successful Running with a Mission fundraising event held in September. Ask the Lord to supply the right people to fill open positions at The City Mission. Pray for the Crossroads Center, which offers men in crisis a place to rest, refocus, and be restored through the transforming power of God’s love. Pray also for the ministry of Laura’s Home, a bridge from crisis to stability for women and children, where staff and volunteers serve Christ by caring for every person, knowing all are made in the image of God. Sudan (Africa). Population: 51,662,148 Believers: 14.7%. The gospel spread through these many years of upheaval. Although the conflicts created terrible suffering, they made the church more mature. The wars scattered Christian refugees throughout the country, so even through suffering the good news spread. Churches formed in places and among peoples that previously had no Christians! The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
