Supported Worker: Equipping Servants International (ESI)
Details: There are 3,000 ESI participants in 250 groups in 37 countries. Recently, four new groups started in Italy, four in London, five in Paris, one in Los Angeles, and three in Virginia and Florida. Pray that as participants study Romans together, they will grow in their love for God and experience deep gospel transformation in their lives, relationships, and local churches. Pray for Jose Gutierrez as ESI expands in Central America and for Pastor Sebastian, who is overseeing the work of ESI in Colombia, Panama, and Spain. He is encouraged to see evidence of God’s grace transforming many lives. Serbia (Europe) Population: 6,689,039 Believers: 0.6%. Evangelicals in Serbia face many difficulties. The recent religion law creates difficulty for all new religious groups, including many new evangelical groups. Protestants have a long history among Hungarians and Slovak minorities but little impact among Serbs and Albanians. Many do not live out their faith. Pray for revival. For groups where ethnic identity determines religious identity, evangelicals can appear to be traitors and part of a religious sect. But through all these challenges, newer churches do grow and minister Christ to others! From Operation World DVD-ROM 2010 and www.operationworld.org
