- Details: Continue to pray for Mark as he works at assisting and consulting on two translation projects. One is a single Quechua language project with an experienced mother tongue translator. The second project consists of four closely related languages with inexperienced men who are learning the ropes. Pray for wisdom for Mark as he is also building files to help him adapt Scripture from one Quechua variety to another and is working on automating the ability to go back and forth between different spelling conventions for words borrowed from Spanish. Virgin Islands of the USA (Caribbean). Population: 84,139 Believers: 23.8%. Tourism and the influx of wealth affect society profoundly, corroding its moral fabric. Pray that the gospel might impact society, personal lifestyles, and family life. Pray that local churches and their leaders may work together in evangelism and in vision for the future. Wallis and Futuna Islands (Pacific). Population: 11,194 Believers: 1.0%. The Catholic church and Polynesian culture and social structures are so interwoven that adherence to Christianity is often more outward than through a living, personal faith. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
