- Details: Pray for the Lord to draw people to himself as they begin to celebrate Advent at the end of November. Please also ask the Lord to accomplish his purposes globally through those they support: Dr. Jen Kintner, overseeing women’s ministry training at the Gulf Theological Seminary in Dubai; Brett and Jennifer Wright, now on home assignment in the US, where Brett is pursuing additional aviation training/certification; and Bryan and Erin Joseph, completing language school and biblical training in Texas this fall before launching into full-time missions in Mazatlan, Mexico. Scotland (Europe). Population: 5,169,000. There is a shortage of clergy; many current clergy are out of touch with the needs of their congregations. Nominalism is widespread, liberal theology still dominant, and Freemasonry influential. Still, there are stirrings of new life through those evangelicals who remain. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
