- Supported Worker: Andrew & Angie James
- Country: Uruguay
- Details: In May, their church held a baptism for Camila and Joaquín who recently came to faith in Christ. They are thankful to God for his work in their lives and pray that he would continue to affirm them in their new faith and use their lives to be a blessing to others. Please pray for the Equipping Servants (ESI) ministry in Uruguay as they launch a new group in July. Pray that God will bring the people he wants to be a part of this discipleship process. Pakistan (Asia). Population: 226,186,778 Believers: 0.6%. Believers from a Muslim background are in a unique and challenging situation. Islam has grave or deadly punishments for apostates. Yet increasing numbers of Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus, often through media as well as dreams and visions and the witness of Pakistani Christians. Some networks of Muslim-background believers are emerging for mutual spiritual support and discipleship. Pray for such networks to spread and fellowships to form for these believers so that they do not easily fall away. Ask the Lord to raise up leaders for these believers, and for their protection.
