- Details: Parkside Green, United States Please pray for the Lord to use Pastor Adam’s new sermon series; their adult education classes on the New City Catechism, Ethics, and John 14-21; and their youth/children’s ministries to help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ. Also, ask the Lord to accomplish his purposes globally through those they support: Dr. Jen Kintner, overseeing women’s ministry training at the Gulf Theological Seminary in Dubai; Brett and Jennifer Wright, finishing their home assignment in the US and visiting Ohio in mid-January; and Bryan and Erin Joseph, visiting with them throughout January before launching into full-time missions in Mazatlán, Mexico. Cuba (Caribbean). Population: 10,937,204 Believers: 8.8%. Cuba faces a difficult future. Communist Party leaders hold power, but this economic approach cannot last forever. The economy is one of the weakest in the Caribbean, and too few young people remain to support the older generation. Deep poverty led to a successful black market with widespread crime, drugs, and prostitution. The regime imprisoned more than 500,000 for political reasons, and over a million became refugees in the USA. Pray that the Cuban diaspora might find Christ and influence their original homeland. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
