- Details: Edgar (& Lety) Rivera and Neri (& Karina) Rivera, Mexico Pray that God will continue to give Edgar wisdom as he works with the Mexican board for the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) work in Mexico. Pray for their daughter Esther as she starts Bible college. Pray for the two Equipping Servants International (ESI) groups that Edgar is leading in Oaxaca and for a new group forming in Ensenada. Pray for wisdom and safety for Edgar as he has received threats but desires to continue to encourage the pastors and believers in Amoltepec. Pray that Neri will have wisdom as he facilitates ESI groups in the state of Chiapas. Pray for continued growth of the church plant and for their outreach efforts during Christmas. Praise God that they were able to move into a more affordable house, which better fits their needs. Pray for strength for Neri as he continues battling lymphoma and for wisdom to work within his physical limitations. Pray for healing for Neri and for extra strength for Karina during this difficult season in their lives. Chile (Latin America). Population: 19,859,921 Believers: 18.4%. Student witness needs strengthening in the 54 universities and colleges and among the 500,000 students. Chile’s evangelicals need to focus much more on reaching and discipling young people. Systematic inequalities and underinvestment in education prompted massive student demonstrations in 2006, which in turn forced government reforms. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church.
