Pray for comfort and hope. Pray for those they will be welcoming as new members in December. Pray these new members will find areas to exercise their gifts in the church body. Pray that there will be many fruitful gospel conversations as they launch a new Christmas outreach. Praise the Lord for the three men finishing their elder training cohort. Pray that these new elders will lead diligently and serve to the glory of the Lord. They have seen an increase in food pantry needs over the last couple months as well as the growth of a large homeless encampment down the street. Pray for wisdom in meeting both the physical and spiritual needs that they see every day. Benin (Africa). Population: 14,814,460 Believers: 8.3%. Animism is a powerful force in Benin. Although Christianity is poised to numerically overtake ethnic religions in the near future, far too many Christians have a syncretized, compromised faith that sees them in church on Sunday and consulting the witch doctor during the week. Pray for a revival that purifies the church and sees Christians honoring God alone. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church.
