Help Make a Big Place a Little Smaller
Build relationships with others in a smaller group where you are known and others know you. A variety LIFE Groups and Bible Studies are available both on Sunday morning and during the week. We invite you to explore several groups to find the right one for you.
Sunday Morning LIFE Groups
Our Sunday morning groups are an opportunity to learn and fellowship together with a smaller group of people from various life stages. Each group is taught by a member of our pastoral team and meets during the 9:45am service.
Midweek LIFE Groups
While we come to faith in Christ individually, God has designed the church so that we grow in faith together. As we learn from the letters of the New Testament, believers need one another for encouragement, edification, and to make each other more like Christ. This "one anothering" happens best when we share life together with other Christians, feeling comfortable and accepted enough to allow people to see who we really are and what we're really wrestling with. Our midweek LIFE groups seek to facilitate these type of relationships among believers at Parkside, providing a context to study the Scriptures, pray and build friendships with one another.
Our groups are scattered throughout NE Ohio and meet during the 1st and 3rd weeks of every month in local homes. To find a group near you, click here. They begin the third week of September, but people are welcome to join at any time. This year, all of the groups will be studying the book of Galatians.
Men - Journeymen
Most men face the constant, daily pressures of work and increasingly demanding travel schedules. Very often, the negative impact of our work lives is felt at the level of our families and our personal relationships with God. The result is often isolation – from the Lord, from our families, and from other Christians. Our Journeymen ministry exists to address these challenges.
Our Monday night study meets from 7:00 - 9:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. All men are welcome to attend. This study begins with a large teach time followed by breakouts into smaller groups for discussion, prayer and fellowship.
Our Thursday morning study meets from 6:30 - 7:30am in the Fellowship Hall. All men are welcome to attend. (Note: This is the group that previously met on Wednesday morning.)
Women - Essence
The desire of our ministry to women is to equip them through the instruction of the Word of God to live in such a way that they bring Him glory in their relationships at home, at work, in the community and in the church.
Our regular Women’s Bible study meets for 10 weeks in the fall and 10 weeks in the spring. Both Tuesday evening and Thursday morning studies are identical to give the option of a time that fits your schedule best. Both studies begin with a large teaching time then followed by breakouts in small group discussions, prayer and fellowship.
Our Tuesday night study meets from 7:00 - 9:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Our Thursday morning study meets from 9:30 - 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. All women are welcome to attend. (Note: There is free childcare for nursery and preschool-age children).
Singles - TrueLife
TrueLife is a singles ministry of Parkside Church whose primary purpose is to see all singles, 35 and older, become committed followers of Jesus Christ. TrueLife has events throughout the year as opportunities for fellowship and growth together.
Young Adults -- :transit:
:transit: is a ministry of Parkside Church for young adults, single or married, ages 22-35. :transit: offers a smaller-scale, mid-week, age-targeted contemporary worship event, in addition to small-group Bible studies and organized opportunities for service and Christian fellowship.
Our main event at :transit: is a weekly, large-group meeting night. Wednesday night services, typically attended by up to 50 of your new friends, run from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and meet at our Loft location at 31200 Solon Rd., Solon, Ohio. A time of worship music is followed by a relevant scriptural message. Our program goes on for about an hour, with about an hour and a half dedicated to hanging out, afterwards.
College-age -- Standpoint
Standpoint is a ministry to college-age people in the NE Ohio area. Whether you are a student at a local university, working in the area, or are back home for a season of time, we'd love to be a place for you to learn about Jesus and grow in relationship with Him and others.
We meet each Sunday at 11:15 am (3rd Service) at Parkside Church in room 206A.
During the summer (starting June 4th), join us for our Connect Groups, which will be meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights in the Commons at Parkside Church. The goal of these groups is to delve deeply into the Scriptures, seeking to apply the Bible to our lives with others who are interested in doing the same. We will also be doing a number of other activities, ranging from cook-outs to service projects.
