Scranton Road Christmas Gifts

Scranton Road Christmas Gifts

For over twenty years, Parkside Church has partnered with Scranton Road Bible Church in purchasing Christmas gifts for needy families who live on the near west side of Cleveland. We invite you to participate with us in bringing Christmas joy to others!

Parkside Church’s Part:

  • The congregation donates money. Please donate with a check made out to Parkside Church with SRBC Christmas on memo line. Donations will be collected through December 31st.
  • The Kids of the Kingdom staff plans and shops for the gifts and then packages, delivers and helps distribute them in partnership with SRBC.

Scranton Road Bible Church’s Part:

  • SRBC gathers over 90 children from their midweek Good News Kids ministry. Their Good News Kids ministry serves neighborhood and church children ages 4-11 on Wednesday evenings.
  • SRBC hosts a Christmas dinner party, and once again, the parents of the children will be guests at the party as well.

Special Features of the Christmas Party:

  • The Gospel will be shared as a special outreach to the parents.
  • Each child will receive not only a number of gifts, but also the same type of presents received by the other Good News Kids.
    • The types of gifts given in the past have included:
      • Something BIG – such as a warm blanket or sleeping bag
      • Something fun – such as a pillow pet or a remote control car
      • Something necessary – such as warm hats, mittens, and scarves
      • Something creative – such as a craft kit or building blocks
      • Something practical – such as school supplies
  • Any extra money that is donated will be used to assist the needy families with back-to-school shopping in August or to provide scholarships for special events like summer camp or ministry activities.

The generous giving of Parkside Church families makes a significant impact in the lives of SRBC families, and we thank you for your participation. Please pray with us that the seeds of the Gospel which are planted at the Christmas dinner party will yield fruit in the lives of parents and children who attend.
