The Embracing Family Ministry exists specifically to care for orphans as God has called us to do in His Word.  We are holding a group meeting on December 15th at 11:15am in room B208 to be a support, encouragement, and an opportunity for prayer.  If you are a foster parent or the parent of an adopted child, we invite you to join us as we seek to care for one another.

Embracing Family July 2019 Picnic

Location: Timberlake Park (on Root road, behind Parkside)

The Embracing Family Ministry is having a summer picnic/support group meeting on July 21, after the third service, at Timberlake Park located on Root Road behind Parkside.  To RSVP, please email Bonnie Warnky by clicking HERE.  We plan to share a meal, exchange updates and pray for one another while the kids play in the park.  If it rains, we will move over to the church.

Safe Families for Children Informational Luncheon

Embracing Family is Parkside's orphan care ministry and we are teaming up with Cleveland's chapter of Safe Families for Children with an informational luncheon on September 23rd following the third service.  Safe Families for Children began in 2003 striving to engage families via faith communities to open their homes to care for vulnerable children.  We share their desire to help families before a major crisis hits with the hope that we can keep families intact, minimize children entering foster care, and reduce abuse and neglect.  If you are considering how you can care for vulnerable childrn in your immediate community then we encourage you to attend the meeting and pray about the possibility of partnering with Safe Families for Children.

Embracing Family Vision Meeting

Embracing Family is our ministry at Parkside which focuses on caring for orphans according to God's commands in the Bible.  We invite you to join us on April 8th following the third service in room A207 for a vision meeting and a light lunch.  Pastor Brandon Smith will lead the meeting as we consider our vision for how we as a church can care for the fatherless in both the short and long term.  RVSP to Linn at lnash@parksidechurch.com

Embracing Family 2015 Adoption Luncheon

The Embracing Family ministry will hold a luncheon on Nov. 8th at 12:30pm in The Venue for all families that have adopted or are interested in adoption.  Lunch will be provided and children are welcome.  The guest speaker is Jackie Smigel who has worked in the adoption field for 26 years and is the founder and director of Open Arms Adoption.  Registration for this event is requested.
