Shelves at bookstores are crowded with books telling you how to save, repair, or even end your marriage. Christian and secular authors alike each carve out their own niche in the ‘marriage’ market claiming to have the secret to a happy marriage. Unfortunately, the one book which offers us the greatest blueprint and purpose for marriage is often overlooked—God’s living and active word.

An Invitation to Attend Ed Welch's Seminar: "Helping Relationships: Caring for the Body of Christ"
Location: Parkside Church
Start Time: Sat 16, Oct. 2010, noon
End Time: Sat 16, Oct. 2010, 8 p.m.
Of all the great metaphors God’s word uses to describe His church, I think the portrait of God’s church as the ‘body of Christ’ is the most illustrative of how we are to interact and function. Paul writes in Ephesians 4:15-16, “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Planting Hedges, Pulling Weeds
No one enters into marriage with the intention of failing or growing apart. Each person who says “I do” hopes for a long and beautiful life together with their spouse. But as time passes, couples forget the basics.

Book Recommendation: The Best Kept Secret of Christian Mission
This book comes out of years of reflection, failures, and some successes in the task of reaching out to others with the gospel. Many Christians think of the task of mission as an entirely verbal activity, when perhaps the best kept secret of New Testament teaching about mission is that it involves a whole range of activities that explicitly promote Christ to the world and draw others to him, and only a few of them involve speaking. Without diminishing or downplaying the importance of speaking the gospel, John Dickson shows that, on the other hand, downplaying the range of activities that promote Christ to the world has its own set of problems.

Ministry Profile: Young Family Play Day
The parking lot at the Warehouse in Solon is filled mostly with mini-vans and SUVs, evidence that a family-friendly event is taking place this Saturday afternoon. Open vehicle doors reveal tiny feet dangling above favorite toys that have found their way to the backseat’s floor during the drive to this month’s Young Family Play Day. As moms and dads herd their little ones into the Warehouse, a light rain begins to fall.
