James Family May 2016 Prayer & Praise
We’re making progress developing a contacts and a plan to train Tacana Indian church leaders to more effectively study, teach and preach the Bible. Pray as we labor to engage the Bolivian church to reach the least-reached of Bolivia so that no one will live or die without hearing the Good News of Jesus.
• Pray for God’s guidance as we expand Equipping Servants pastoral training into Uruguay in our effort to help church leaders grow in their commitment to Christ and His Scriptures. We had an excellent week of meetings in April training two key Uruguayan pastors to start Equipping Servants. Pray for a mature church in Uruguay committed to discipling believers and reaching the lost with the gospel of Christ.
• Pray for the 800 Equipping Servants pastoral training participants in Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. Pray for the 1073 graduates, that many churches will be transformed as pastors and church leaders honor Christ by being true to His Word.
• Pray that pastors will build a strong commitment of Biblical friendship so they are not walking alone but rather together with other pastors. Pray that church leaders will experience true unity in Jesus as they walk together under the banner of the gospel.
• Pray for God’s supply for the 2500 Pastor Book Sets needed between now and 2020 to open Equipping Servants in 5 new Latin American countries in the next 5 years, wanting to place Pastor Book Sets in the hands of pastors and church leaders around Latin America and Africa – and train them in the use of these materials.
• Pray that Equipping Servants participants will grow in their love for Jesus with a growing commitment to live on the basis of Christ’s righteousness in obedience to God’s Word.
• Pray for pastor Tomas Diaz as he works with 5 groups of Equipping Servants pastors in Loja, Ecuador. God is using the study of Romans to impact many lives and churches in southern Ecuador.
• Pray for pastor Edwin Callejas as he works with 4 groups of Equipping Servants pastors in Huánuco, Peru. Pray that the Lord will prepare the Quechua Villages that Kep and Edwin and the Parkside Medical team will be reaching out to in May.
• Pray for pastor Pepe Rocha that God will help him in his passion for Christ in his pastoral ministry in the ILC Church in La Paz, Bolivia.
• Pray for pastor Freddy Choque leading 4 Equipping Servants ministry in the city of El Alto, Bolivia.
• Pray for Sami and Heather as they develop a ministry of Biblical counseling in churches in La Paz. Praise for the good growth of their one year old son, Ethan!
• Pray for Katie, working as a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic and serving God where she is.
• Pray for Andrew and Angie and their 3 children in Cleveland. Pray for Andrew in his second year at Parkside church as a Missionary-In-Training. Pray for them as they take steps toward church planting in Uruguay with SIM.
