The Way Out Prison Ministry Volunteers Needed in Summit & Portage Counties

Summit County: Have you served as a chaplain in some compacity? Are you a retired military or hospital chaplain? The Way Out Prison Ministry is in need of a qualified person in Summit County to oversee and grow religious services in 7 Oriana House facilities for men and women. These are low-level security correctional facilities. They consist of half-way houses, state and federal re-entry facilities and community based correctional facilities.

Portage County: The Way Out Prison Ministry is offering an exciting ministry opportunity to volunteers with a heart for the youth who are incarcerated in the Portage/Geauga Detention Center in Ravenna. They are looking for a dynamic youth-oriented team from churches in Portage/Geauga County to serve on their ministry team. They bring contemporary Christian music, a relevant Bible lesson, and a small group discussion for one hour every Thursday evening from 7-8 pm. Each team meets one Thursday each month.
