Scranton Road Bible Church Christmas Gifts 2014

For more than 25 years, Parkside Church has partnered with Scranton Road Bible Church (SRBC) in purchasing Christmas gifts for children and their families who are regular attenders of Scranton Road’s youth groups. SRBC has developed and nurtured many strong relationships throughout their near-westside Cleveland community and has shepherded an ever-growing youth ministry which has expanded to include ministering to the parents and guardians who accompany their children to the weekly youth group meeting.

We are grateful for the Lord’s work in these relationships and we invite you to participate with us in bringing Christmas joy to our brothers and sisters in Christ!

How You Can Help:

  • Please donate with a check made out to Parkside Church with “SRBC Christmas” on memo line. Donations will be collected through December 31st.
  • The Kids of the Kingdom staff plans and shops for the gifts and then packages, delivers, and helps distribute them in partnership with SRBC.
  • Any funds that remain after the gifts have been purchased will be used for kids and families in need to help buy back-to-school items, clothing, and camp scholarships.

Scranton Road Bible Church’s Part:

  • SRBC invites more than 100 children from their midweek youth ministry which serves neighborhood and church children ages 3 through high school on Wednesday evenings.
  • SRBC hosts a Christmas dinner party for the children, parents, and guardians.

Special Features of the Christmas Party:

  • The Gospel will be shared as a special outreach to parents and guardians, and the children will perform.
  • Major gifts for each child will include:
      • A large, warm, cuddly blanket which becomes a cherished possession during these cold winter months; and,
      • A creative toy called Kinetic Sand and accessories for playing with this mesmerizing Play-Doh alternative. (Here is a link to check it out!)
  • Gifts for the parents/guardians include:
      • A DVD of “The Nativity Story,” as well as a note about the meaning of the story and how to make watching “The Nativity Story” a tradition for their families; and,
      • A gift card to be used for items in need.

The generous giving of Parkside Church families makes a significant impact in the lives of SRBC families, and we thank you for your participation. Please pray with us that the seeds of the Gospel which are planted through SRBC’s youth groups and at their Christmas dinner party will yield fruit in the lives of parents and children who attend.
