Supported Worker: Andrew & Angie James
Country: Uruguay
Details: Andrew & Angie celebrated one year in Uruguay on Oct. 26th! Praise God that the kids are doing well. They continue to perfect their Spanish, make friends, and adjust to life in Uruguay. Although Angie and Andrew have had “ups” and “downs” this last year, they have really been encouraged how God has answered their prayers and blessed them with new friendships – both with believers and non-believers. Angie continues to lead a weekly Bible study with women. It has been great to see how this time in God’s Word has served to strengthen Angie’s relationship with some of the women and build up their faith. Andrew continues to lead an ESI (Equipping Servants) class with a group of young people. Several people dropped out, but Andrew is really encouraged to see what God is doing in the lives of those who have continued. Please pray that God would use this training to raise-up a new generation of leaders who love the Lord and are committed to His Word. Myanmar. The military regime seeks to destroy Christianity (which it calls “the C-virus”), yet faith keeps spreading. Christians are generally kept out of positions of power and influence. Military campaigns against Christian minorities are well publicized, and over 3,000 Christian villages have been burned out in the last 10 years. Churches are not given permission to register and are thereby considered illegal and subject to harassment.
