Weakness Required

In a culture in which we pride ourselves on our own ability and strength, it is counterintuitive to claim that weakness is an advantage. Gideon came face-to-face with the extent of his own inability so that he could depend on the perfect strength of God. As God's people recognize our weakness, we learn to appreciate that God's purposes are accomplished through His power so that He alone receives glory.
