Christmas Concert Volunteers Needed

Can You Help Us Out This Christmas?

We are in need of general volunteers to serve at each Christmas concert helping people to their seats, greeting, scanning tickets, passing out programs, etc.  

For each concert we need about 40 volunteers! 

If you can serve, please sign up today...

• By filling out a volunteer sign-up form that can be found at any info center at church. Place your completed form in the offering plate.

Play Groups
All moms and caregivers of children birth-5 years of age are invited to join us for a time of fun and relationship-building at Play Groups on Nov. 28. Play Groups meets on the first floor of the Children’s Wing from 10-11:30am. We encourage you to bring a lunch for yourself and your child to enjoy afterward with others.

Parents' Night Out
We will have a PNO on Dec. 1, 6-9pm. PNO provides respite care for families of children with special needs and siblings up to age 12. To ensure adequate staffing, new families contact Renee at rpecek@parksidechurch.com for registration info by Nov. 20; returning families rsvp by Nov. 27 to Danelle Bennington.

Cancer Support Christmas Lunch
Cancer patients, survivors, and their families are invited to join us for a Christmas lunch on Dec. 3 at noon in Room B020/B021. Main dishes and beverages will be provided. Bring an appetizer or side dish to share. RSVP to Bill at wpurdon@gmail.com.

Christmas Benevolence Project
Parkside desires to share the joy of Christmas with families in need, both in the Cleveland area and in our surrounding community, by purchasing essentials and Christmas gifts for these families. New City Catechism

Q47. Does the Lord’s Supper add anything to Christ’s atoning work? (1 Peter 3:18)

Answer: No, Christ died once for all. The Lord’s Supper is a covenant meal celebrating Christ’s atoning work; as it is also a means of strengthening our faith as we look to him, and a foretaste of the future feast. But those who take part with unrepentant hearts eat and drink judgment on themselves.

Baptism

Birth
We rejoice with Rex and Samantha Poe upon the birth of their son, Callen Scott Poe.

Baby Dedication

We celebrate with David Cannon and Mary Kate Jaskowiak who will be united in marriage on November 18, 2017.

We extend our sympathy to Renee Pecek and her family upon the death of her mother, Ruth Darling; and to Rich Sweebe and his family upon the death of his mother, Yvonne Sweebe.

Mark and Patti Bean, Peru
During their recent trip to Peru, Mark and Patti got to help celebrate Bible Day. Hundreds of believers, young and old, marched through town carrying signs, flags, banners and Bibles! Mark was in the program and read Old and New Testament passages in Quechua. Mark and the translation team are checking six sets of proofs of the whole Bible for six groups of Quechua speakers in central Peru. Praise God that Mark has finished reading 84% of the proofs of one of the Bibles.

Looking for Affordable Warehouse Space

Christian non profit (Building Hope in the City) is looking for warehouse space to store donated goods, and provide some corporate space for several offices/phones, etc... Ideally this would be on/near the west side of downtown.
