Cancer Support Dinner

The discovery of cancer can be an unpredictable and frightening season in life. The Cancer Support Ministry is a Bible-based support group designed to help anyone affected by the painful circumstances of cancer.  Whether battling cancer currently or acting as a loving caregiver, this ministry provides a place to for individuals to share stories, stresses, worries and celebration.  

If your life, or that of someone you love, has been touched by cancer, please join us and Pastor Alistair Begg for a time of encouragement on Friday, June 23. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm in The Venue, followed by a message of hope from Alistair.

Cost for the dinner is $8.00 per person. Register for the dinner here or pick up a form at any Parkside information center. Scholarships are available upon request. Contact Jacque for more information.

VBC Orientation Meetings This Sunday
Stop at the VBC table in the Children’s Wing for orientation meeting locations.

VBC Kids Pre-registration Now Open
Pre-registration for Vacation Bible Camp is open in the Children’s Wing through June 4. Online pre-registration is open until noon on June 9. Registration re-opens at 8:30am on June 12 at the CW desk and will remain open through Friday of VBC week.

VBC Materials Pick-up
All pre-registered children for VBC can pick up their materials on June 4 and June 11 in the Playroom located in the Children’s Wing after all morning services only.

Ambassadors Soccer Camp
Children age 6-14 are invited to attend Ambassadors Soccer Camp which will be here at Parkside July 11-15. Register online at ambassadorssoccercamps.com or pick up a registration/brochure at the CW desk to register by mail. Cost is $125 through June 18 and $150 after June 18. Running With a Mission
Join The City Mission and Laura’s Home for a fun-filled morning of running for a good cause on June 17. This run takes place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. You and your family can enjoy Kid’s Dash, Pavillion Mascots, Live DJ and much more. Register at thecitymission.org/events/run.

India Missions Information Meeting
We will hold an information meeting at 11:15am on June 25 in Room A208 for those interested in being part of a medical/dental missions trip to Northern India in January 2018. Medical professionals, dentists, and hygienists are needed, but non-medical people are also welcome.

Student Transitions to Middle School and High School
We invite 5th grade students to join Club JV (Tues 7pm) on July 25, and begin attending U-Turn (Sun 9:45am) in September. Current 8th graders will join Student Impact (Thurs 7pm) June 15 and begin attending Student Body (Sun 9:45) on June 18. Contact youth@parksidechurch.com with any questions.

Single Moms Summer Session
The Single Moms’ group will meet this summer: July 6 & 13 for topical discussions, and July 20 for a craft night. Meetings will be held on the Commons Patio at 6:30pm. Childcare is available. For more info, contact Theresa at 216.659.7324.

High School Short-term Missions Team
Pray for the ten high school students and three leaders who will be serving in Bolivia with Parkside missionaries Kep and Debbie James June 5-14. The team will be participating in outreach projects throughout the city. The team includes: Philip Bradshaw, Connor Brown, Melissa Heise, Tim Hoshiko, Josiah Keating, Colleen Lacey, Anna Larison, Allie Mach, Noah Senthil, Trevor Stevenson, Dan Schillero, Brandon Smith, and Whitney Smith. Pray for the team’s health, safety, and personal growth.
