New City Catechism

Q15. Since no one can keep the law, what is its purpose? (Romans 3:20)

Answer: That we may know the holy nature and will of God, and the sinful nature and disobedience of our hearts; and thus our need of a Savior. The law also teaches and exhorts us to live a life worthy of our Savior.

We extend our sympathy to Vadim Levtonyuk and his family upon the death of his father, Nikolay.

Mark & Patti Bean in La Paz, Bolivia
Praise God with them for a good week teaching pastors and church leaders in Quechua at a Bible Institute. Mark’s 80-plus page text was prepared for three varieties of Quechua, and the Institute asked if they could use these materials as a textbook for future courses. The hope is that the Beans’ Quechua colleagues will be asked to teach the course. Mark and Patti are also thankful for a good time catching up with Peruvian friends and colleagues, and for good progress in the workshop. Please pray for continued sustained attention to detail as they plug away on preparing these six Bibles for publication. They are thankful for the faithful prayers and encouragement along the way.
