- Details: Pray for the many new ESI (Equipping Servants Internship) groups starting this month in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and Temuco, Chile and Bogota, Colombia. Pray for the ESI “Fundamentos” pastors conferences in La Paz, Bolivia (Aug. 17-19) and Santa Cruz (Aug. 20-22) on the topic of Evangelism from the Gospel of Mark. They are expecting over 500 at those two conferences. Pray for the over 1000 active ESI participants in Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay and Chile. Pray for the 1625 total graduates since 2002. Pray for God’s supply for the 2000 ESI Pastor-Book-Sets needed between now and 2022 to start ESI in five new Latin American countries in the next five years. Pray that ESI participants will grow in their love for Jesus with a growing commitment to live on the basis of Christ’s righteousness in obedience to God’s Word. Pray for Pastor Tomas Diaz as he works with five groups of ESI pastors in Loja, and expands ESI into Guayaquil, Ecuador. Pray for Pastor Edwin Callejas as he works with four groups of ESI pastors in Huánuco, Peru, and oversees two ESI groups in Cajamarca. Pray for Pastor Edgar Mamani, pastoring the IBM church, developing ESI among Tacana Indian church leaders in the Rurrenebaque region of Bolivia. Pray for Pastor Javier Soliz that God will guide and grant wisdom as he trains pastors in five ESI groups. Finland. Humanism, secularism and materialism have strangleholds on most Finns. Christians may number 84% of the population, but society is effectively a secular one. Interest in spiritual things offers some hope, but Islam and fringe religious movements are currently the fastest growing. Pray for a spiritual breakthrough that will cause people to seek the Lord.
