Equipping young men
for full-time ministry.

A year of practical experience at Parkside Church.

Parkside’s pastoral residency offers opportunities to practice Biblical teaching in a variety of ministry settings, observe and assist in the leadership of adult and youth ministries, and participate in our pastoral staff meetings, general church functions, and more.

The Program

We are a Bible-based, evangelical, non-denominational church located in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Each fall, we offer a one-year residency for pastoral and missions residents to partner with our pastoral team to care for and serve the attendees at our main location.

The Goals

Our goal is to see young men developed and prepared for full-time ministry through growth in: Christ-like character, core convictions, ministry competence, appreciation of a Christ-centered church's culture, and clarity of calling.

The Process

Each year, we visit college campuses, hold interviews, and accept applications. If you don’t attend a school that we visit in person, you can apply online. Our desire is to complete the process by the end of spring. Residents typically begin at the end of August.

A place to grow and evaluate
God’s call on your life.

“After earning an undergraduate degree in molecular biology, I sensed the call to pastoral ministry but lacked both local church experience and formal theological training. Parkside’s residency provided a place to grow and evaluate God’s call on my life.”

- Jonathan Cameron, Residency class of 2008; current Parkside pastoral team member
