Basics Thank You

This week, we had the privilege of hosting over 1100 pastors and Christian workers at our annual Basics Conference.

Our theme this year was "Jars of Clay," and the attendees were encouraged and challenged from the scriptures by Alistair and guest speakers Christopher Ash and Tim Savage. They also had the opportunity to hear some of our pastors, elders, and partners talk about different specifics of ministry.

In addition to rich teaching, one of the hallmarks of our conference is the warm hospitality that is extended to the men who come. Before, during, and after the conference, our guests were served by many volunteers from Parkside who helped set up the church, offered rides to and from the airport, hosted men in their homes, served them meals, and led them in worship.

On behalf of the entire staff at Parkside, I would like to thank everyone who gave of their time and energy to bless the attendees: whether you were praying for them, helping them register, answering their questions, or cleaning up after them, thank you for serving Christ and helping make Basics possible. I wish you could have heard the rousing standing ovation that the attendees gave you in appreciation of your service!

Our hope and prayer is that the men who joined us were refreshed by their time here and that they have returned home strengthened to continue in Gospel ministry. Please join us in praying for much fruit from the conference.

Sincerely,
Pastor Dan Southam

Safe and Reliable Car

Do you have safe and reliable car that you don't want anymore or are looking to replace? There is a need! I'm looking for something like a Camry, Corolla, Accord, Civic or Sentra for safe, basic, reliable transportation to work and ministries I participate in. I'm very open to possibilities and high mileage and manual gear boxes are not a problem. It would be a tremendous blessing if God could use you to help me drive again.
