3 Vacation Bible Camp Updates

Whether you are serving at Vacation Bible Camp, sending your children, or simply inviting neighborhood children to come, we want you to be informed about these important details.

1. Kids' Registration

Did you know we have pre-registration and open registration for VBC kids? What’s the difference?

Pre-registration is open only until noon on June 8 at www.parksidechurch.com/vbckids.  Paper pre-registration at the VBC table at church closes this Sunday, June 3.

  • Pre-registration allows you to pick up your child’s materials BEFORE VBC starts! You’ll know what group your child is in, where to take him/her, and you’ll even be able to start learning the VBC music (yay!).
  • Kids’ materials are available for pickup after any morning service on Sundays, June 3 & 10 in the Children’s Wing playroom.
  • Invite friends to pre-register for FREE. Send them the link:  www.parksidechurch.com/vbcfriend.
  • If you’re not in town on June 3 or 10, pick up your materials at a special “Pre-registered” table in the Children’s Wing on the first day of VBC. You don’t have to wait in the long registration line!
Open Registration takes place THROUGHOUT VBC at the desk in the Children’s Wing. We never turn any children away, and we encourage children to invite friends all week long—even if friends can only come for one or two days!

  • Open registration begins on Monday, June 11 at 8:15am at the desk in the Children’s Wing. All children must be registered BEFORE going to the Auditorium to join a group.
  • Registration is $8/child (max $24/family); scholarships are available.
  • FRIENDS MAY REGISTER FOR FREE during the week (so invite lots of friends!) and bring them to the registration desk to fill out a card and be assigned to a group.

We rejoice with Kevin and Julie Johnson upon the birth of their daughter, Karin Jean Johnson, on May 23, 2018 and Kurt and Ashley Ingersoll upon the birth of their son, Camden Clifford Ingersoll, on May 25, 2018. Please continue to pray for Camden’s health and time in the NICU.

Health Concerns
Bev Carpenter, Gail Dienes, Al Hancock, Nora Hancock, Darlene Houry, and Gary Tilly.

Sympathy
We extend our sympathy to Al and Nora Hancock (grandparents) and Dave & Jody Knuchel upon the death of their son, Joshua Knuchel.

Jeffrey & Katherine Robinson in the United States
The core group for the church plant west of Austin is growing. They continue to meet two Sunday evenings a month until September when they will begin weekly worship. Please pray that prayer would be central, that authentic Christ-centered relationships would be built, and that those committed to starting this church would grow relationally with one another. Pray for patience for those wanting to move the process along quicker and for faith for those who are hesitant.

Babysitter/ housesitter available (with car)

Hi I'm Colleen Lacey and I am a 19 year old college freshman. I am looking to nanny/ babysit/house sit until I start work June 10th! I have been babysitting for years, and have many reliable references. I am also able to drive the kids wherever they need to go or pick up any groceries needed.
