The Joy of Gospel Partnership
Paul wrote to the Philippian church out of a deep sense of joy for the partnership that they shared in the Gospel. This kind of relationship is not forged on the basis of shared pursuits, and it doesn't depend on the loveliness of those around us. Instead, it happens as a result of God's initiative in saving us into His Church, and it is experienced as we understand the implications of the Gospel that unite us in purpose and enable us to love one another with the affection of Christ Jesus.
