Dear Friends,
Thank you for your generous gifts and prayers which make our work with MAF possible. You truly are partners with us in the ministry as you give and pray.
We want to share with you how God has answered prayer over the last nine months in providing a new office for us at the airport in Oaxaca. Our old office was very small and for many years we have asked the Lord to provide a larger facility for us. The airport talked about renting us land to build a new office but never followed through on it.
Last October we were informed that they were planning to demolish our existing office in January and finally assigned us a place to build. There was a scramble to adjust existing plans for the new space and get them approved. Some businesspeople in Oaxaca loaned us a small mobile office that we used while the old one was leveled and the new one took shape. A local Christian contractor agreed to build it at about half the cost of other companies, and God provided all the funding necessary through some very generous donations. We started moving into the new office the end of May and dedicated it to the Lord’s work in June. One of the exciting advantages is that it has a room for our passengers to wait for flights inside rather than being exposed to sun and rain outside.
Please continue to pray for Juan Carlos and Gregorio. They are both from Mexico and are currently in the neighboring country of Guatemala, studying with MAF pilots to prepare for their commercial pilot licenses required to serve with MAF. They have both demonstrated servant’s hearts and have done well with technical studies.
We are eagerly anticipating Juan graduating in August with his FAA Airframe and Powerplant aircraft mechanic license. Juan and his wife, Amy, desire to serve the Lord with MAF in a restricted access nation. Please pray that God will open doors and guide their steps.
