Supported Worker: Matt Pheneger
Country: United States of America
Details: Two years ago, a women’s team made up of professional and semi-professional players visited them in Lima. In February another team of players returned to build on the work the first team did, and work alongside their Peruvian colleagues to encourage them and open doors for ongoing ministry. Soccer is a relatively new sport for girls in Peru, so the team was a massive encouragement to families around Lima as they played matches against some of the top teams and put on clinics for young girls in areas of need throughout the city. Pray for Daniel Sifuentes, Ambassadors Football Peru Director, as he continues to follow-up with the people and partners that they worked with during the trip. Also, pray for those whose eyes were opened to the possibilities of soccer ministry and want to start ministry in their church or join Ambassadors. Montenegro (Europe). Independence has brought optimism and hope. Montenegro is a small country but has great potential. If it can avoid the enmity between ethnic/religious communities that plagues most of the Balkans, there is much to look forward to. Pray that people will seek the truth in the midst of their new-found nationhood.  From Operation World DVD-ROM 2010, www.operationworld.org
