Supported Worker: Parkside Church Short-term Team
Country: Japan
Details: Pray for the team who will travel to Tokyo on June 29 to assist with the 2018 Japan Annual Conference for the missions organization, SEND International. Team members include: Diane Carmichael, Katie Egan, Justin Hartman, Nicolle James, Steve James, Dan Pillot, Jennifer Platek, Brandon Schaber, Dan Southam and Doug Tabbutt. The team will provide babysitting for infants and toddlers, Bible school (VBC) for children preschool through grade 5, a Bible teacher to speak for the plenary sessions, a team to lead music at the beginning of each plenary session, and a sound technician. While in Japan the team will also travel to Sendai and see the work of Parkside missionaries, Chris & Leanne Harrington. Please pray for safe travel, good health, team unity, and that they will be an encouragement to the missionaries and their families. The team returns to Cleveland on July 10. Nagaland (State of India). Christian training and sending – few Christian areas in the world have such a high density of theological colleges; there are at least 19. Pray for more students who will become effective pastors, social workers, church planters and missionaries. A vision exists to see 10,000 Naga missionaries sent out from this most Christian state in India. Pray for further Bible translation. The many highly educated theologians have ensured that the two million Nagas (in 20 tribes with 36 languages and 124 dialects) are well served with Bible translations. Bibles or NTs exist in nearly 30 languages, with work progressing in 10 more.
