MS Summer Missions Trip Information

Location: Ridgecrest, NC
Start Time: Fri 9, July 2021, 9 a.m.
End Time: Tue 13, July 2021, noon

For 2021, we are heading to Ridgecrest, North Carolina for our Summer Missions trip. We will be participating in a program called “MFuge,” which is an extension of Lifeway, similar to the World Changers trips we have done in the past.

What is MFuge?

MFuge is designed to give students a mission experience that opens their eyes to similar opportunities they may have to serve in their own communities, learning to live life each day on mission! During the day you will be challenged and stretched as individuals; in the evenings, you’ll have an opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, fellowship and church group devotions.

What else should I know about the 2021 trip?

  • We’re staying at the Ridgecrest Conference Center! You can find more about the conference center here. We will stay in dorm and cabin style accomodations.
  • Students will not choose a ministry track this year. They will serve on a ministry site together with their church group in PYC (Painting, Construction, and Yardwork). *Updated 4/19 due to recent MFUGE update.
  • We are traveling! We’ll leave bright and early July 9 and drive 9 hours south in vans. We will return some time late on July 13.
  • Attendance at ALL team meetings is required. There is advanced preparation our teams will do to prepare for ministry during the week. Participants must attend all team meetings unless you submit in writing to a team leader why you have to miss. *Meeting schedule listed below.
  • We have a limited number of spots available. Applications submitted by the June 4 deadline will be considered. Anyone asking to join the team after June 4 will be determined on space availability and reason for application delay.
  • Payments on TouchPoint. Our church database system allows you to pay your deposit when you register, but it will also allow your supporters or parents to donate online towards your trip at a later time.
  • We will follow the COVID-19 guidelines of FUGE camps. Read the guidelines here. While there will be many other church groups at MFUGE, we will spend the majority of our time within our Parkside church group.
  • We will bring 1 adult leader for every 5 students according to gender. These leaders are all already vetted, background checked and involved in our Middle School Ministry on a weekly basis.
  • Check out the MFUGE parent pack for MFUGE info, a sample schedule, camp theme, and camp policies.

Participation on this trip includes a commitment to attend team meetings on:

  • Sunday May 23 from 11:15am to 12:15pm in the Venue
  • Friday June 25 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Commons/Patio
