Due to staffing and safety requirements for special needs ministry, new families must register in advance before visiting. Contact Renee Pecek (440.708.2113) to receive an information packet.
Faithful Friends (Older Youth & Young Adults)
Sundays at 9:45-11:00am, Rm A117
Our Faithful Friends class consists of young adults with developmental disabilities and affords them a safe, secure environment for a time of fellowship and encouragement in God's Word by caring and committed caregivers. This group meets weekly on Sunday mornings from September-June where they learn about God through teaching, music, crafts, and drama. Please note: some Sundays are off, due to holidays.
Faithful Friends, Jr. (Ages 5-15)
Sundays at 9:45am & 11:15am, Rm A115
For children with disabilities ages 5-15, this class is designed specifically to give them the opportunity to hear God’s Word and to provide a support group for families with children who have special needs. We desire that parents would be able to attend worship, knowing that their children are cared for and shown the love of Jesus through Bible stories, music, playtime, and individual/small group interaction. We often need helpers to join our team as we seek to provide 1:1 care for each child in our class.
Sundays when Communion is offered, 6pm, Rm A115
We desire that parents would be able to attend the Communion service while their children and youth with special needs are cared for by our team. Communion services are typically held on the first Sunday evening of each month, and we seek to provide 1:1 care for each child (September-June). Please contact Julie Pelletier if you are interested in care for your child with special needs on Communion nights.
We have an immediate and ongoing need for volunteers to join our Special Needs Ministry. If you would like to help, please click on the link above and fill out the form.
