On Sunday August 12th and 19th, we will be collecting gently used baby clothes, blankets, toys, swings, highchairs, strollers, and infant care items (0-12 months) for Laura's Home and Alternaterm.  Please bring your donations to the lower level of the Commons.

Donate your gently used clothing for The City Mission homeless shelters on Feb. 12 and 19 in the Lower Level Commons. Clean men’s, women’s and children’s clothing will be accepted.

The City Mission is in need of men's and women's deoderant, socks, and underwear for their Crossroads and Laura's Home shelters.  On Sundays October 9th and 16th we will be collecting these items in the Lower Level Commons to bless them with.  New items only please.

What's a Hope Tote?

Hope Totes are...

bags of personal care items collected to create hygiene kits for infants, children, and adults and are distributed by The City Mission to the homeless and those in need throughout the year

Hope Totes include...

Fill your Hope Tote with any of the following items:

deodorant

shampoo and conditioner

toothbrush and toothpaste

mouthwash (alcohol-free)

soap

hand or body lotion

disposable razors

shaving cream

baby items (disposable diapers, wipes, etc.)

new underwear and socks

women's hygiene products

And...

Please donate only new, unopened, full-size items.  Donations of individual items will also be accepted.

How Can I Help?

Pick Up Hope Totes

Hope Totes purple bags will be available in the hallway in front of the Fellowship Hall during the month of May.

Prepare Hope Totes

Collect the itmes for your tote and drop them off in the Lower Level of the Commons on Sunday May 22nd or Sunday May 29th.

Collect Hope Totes

Volunteers are needed to help accept donations throughout the collection Sundays.  If you are willing to help in between services, please contact Dan Krieger at dankrieger@gmail.com.  Volunteers are also needed to load the truck before evening serivce on Sunday May 29th.

Sundays January 9th and 16th, we will be collecting new or gently used (in good condition) men's, women's, and children's winter clothing to donate to the City Mission shelters.  Please bring your donations to the lower level of the Commons.

Monthly Meals @ the City Mission
Once a month, our team cooks the meal here at Parkside Church then transports and serves the meal at both of the CityMission shelters - Laura's Home, a women and children's shelter and Crossroads, a men's shelter. This meal provides an opportunity to build relationships and share the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We prepare and serve meals the fourth Thursday of every month.  To be a part of preparing or serving meals, email Rachel at rpeteya@parksidechurch.com.

Parkside will be collecting business and business casual clothing for the City Mission on Sundays May 16th and May 23rd.

We’ll be holding a clothing drive on Jan. 24 and 31 to collect winter coats, socks and new underwear for the homeless. Please bring these crucial items to the Lower Level Commons on those days.
