Volunteers Needed at University Settlement

University Settlement is a neighborhood center that provides social services to residents of the Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood in southeast Cleveland. Headquartered at 4800 Broadway Avenue, the agency operates three facilities and hosts 10 major programs that serve children, families, and seniors. The mission of University Settlement is to offer the individuals and families we serve the resources by which they can learn, grow, and thrive.

There are many different ways that volunteers can serve:

 * University Settlement manages one of the largest Hunger Centers in Cuyahoga County with a daily food pantry, a monthly produce distribution and every Tuesday evening there is a community meal.

* There are opportunities for handyman for projects in their facilities.

* There are opportunities for administrative assistance, receptionists and landscaping.

* Help with fundraising, social media, website, conducting food or clothing drives, etc.

* They are considering establishing a baseball and/or Upward Basketball league so coaches, mentors would be invaluable.

* They have programs in place at some of local elementary/middle schools and tutors/retired certified teachers could be invaluable.

Find out more about University Settlement by visiting their website. For more information about any of these opportunities, contact Bob Elsas, Development Manager.
