Alistair has invited Mark Dever and Voddie Baucham to join him for the 2012 annual Basics Conference, which will take place May 14-16, 2012 at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, OH.
Mark Dever serves as the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC. A Duke graduate, Dr. Dever holds a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History from Cambridge University. He is the president of 9Marks and has taught at a number of seminaries. Dr. Dever has also authored several books and articles. He and his wife Connie live and minister on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
Voddie Baucham wears many hats. He is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX, and Union University in Jackson, TN. He has also lectured at Southern Seminary. Voddie’s area of emphasis is Cultural Apologetics. Whether teaching on classical apologetic issues like the validity and historicity of the Bible, or the resurrection of Christ; or teaching on biblical manhood/womanhood, marriage and family, he helps ordinary people understand the significance of thinking and living biblically in every area of life.
Alistair Begg has been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. He served eight years in Scotland at both Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church. He has been the Senior Pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio since 1983. He has written several books and is heard daily and weekly on the radio program, Truth For Life. He and his wife, Susan, have been married more than 30 years and have 3 grown children.
