Vacation Bible Camp Skit Auditions

If you've ever been called a "drama queen" or your friends say you "light up a room when you enter," we invite you to come to our Upward Bound skit team auditions on April 9th. We are looking for at least 5 actors to join the 2017 team. Skit team members MUST be able to commit to a rigorous rehearsal schedule.

Who:  Adults & high school students (who have completed 9th grade)

When: April 9, 12:30-3:30pm (after 3rd service)

Where:  B020 (lower level, Commons)

What:  Light lunch will be provided, though we want to get the auditions started quickly. We'll have various "cuts" from the Upward Bound script and will ask people to quickly read through them to familiarize themselves with the parts before doing readings in front of the group.

To register, email Tisha Eisenhuth at teactress@aol.com.

Q14. Did God create us unable to keep his law? (Romans 5:12)

Answer: No, but because of the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve, all of creation is fallen; we are all born in sin and guilt, corrupt in our nature and unable to keep God’s law.

Family News

Birth
We rejoice with Tim and Bonnie Warnky upon the birth of their daughter, Lydia Marie Warnky, on March 24, 2017.

Health Concerns
Catherine Ma and Molly Patel.

Sympathy
We extend our sympathy to Susan Hrubey and her family upon the death of her father, Edward Hrubey.

Wes & Nancy Collins in Guatemala/Peru/USA
CILTA students began linguistics classes in mid-March in Lima. Classes will continue until almost Christmas so it is quite a slog for both students and professors. May God give their ten students vision and success as they train for cross-cultural ministry. Praise the Lord that there is funding and local leadership for the Old Testament translation project among the Central Mam in Guatemala, the same Mam language variant where Wes and Nancy worked on the New Testament. Pray for good progress and a real understanding of the heart of Scripture as the team works together.
