Managing Your Money: A Three Week Workshop

Finances are a very big part of each of our lives, but how do we know the best way to handle them? Managing Your Money looks at biblical wisdom regarding budgeting, debt reduction, and handling crisis. Starting March 16, we will offer a free three-week workshop on effective money management that covers the following:

• The Basics of Money
• How to Manage Debt
• Saving for the Future
• How to Manage Cash Flow so that you can actually SAVE each month
• Discovering Your Money Personality
• Good Stewardship

In Loving Memory of Pastor Ron Klein

We extend our sympathy to Patti Klein and her family upon the death of her husband, Pastor Ron Klein who went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 24. Pastor Klein faithfully served Parkside Church for 17 years as our pastor of missions, counseling and care ministries before retiring in 2013. We will always remember Ron for his deep love of others, his zest for life and his zeal for Jesus.

Please pray for Patti, David, and Debbie, while they mourn the loss of their beloved husband and father.

Parents’ Night Out
Our next PNO, respite care for families of children with special needs, is March 10, 6-9pm. Returning families, please RSVP no later than March 6 to Troy and Danelle Bennington if you plan to come; new families please contact Renee at rpecek@parksidechurch.com for a registration packet. The next PNO will be Apr. 7.

Young Family Play Day
Families with at least one child under 7 are invited to our Young Family Play Day on March 11, 4-7pm at the Warehouse. There will be inflatables for older kids and a soft play area for toddlers. We will provide pizza, juice boxes and water and ask that you bring a side dish to share.

Preschool Story Time
For preschool children, age 2-1/2 to 5 years old, we offer story time on the main floor of the Children’s Wing at 11am. Our next story time is March 14. Bring a lunch for yourself and your child to enjoy afterward with others.

Sojourners/GEO Kidz Pancake Breakfast
Adults in the second half of life are invited to a free pancake breakfast on March 18, provided by the kids and parents involved in our GEO Kidz ministry. The breakfast will take place at 9am in The Venue. Please plan to arrive by 9:30am. RSVP by March 13 to Renee at rpecek@parksidechurch.com.

Upward Bound Vacation Bible Camp is June 12-16, 9am-Noon; and  Ambassadors Soccer Camp is July 11-15, 9am-3pm. Additional details will be available about both summer events soon, but save them on your calendar now.

New City Catechism

Q10. What does God require in the fourth and fifth commandments? (Leviticus 19:3)

Answer: Fourth, that on the Sabbath day we spend time in public and private worship of God, rest from routine employment, serve the Lord and others, and so anticipate the eternal Sabbath. Fifth, that we love and honor our father and our mother, submitting to their godly discipline and direction.

Missionaries: Brenda Ziska in Austria
Pray for the evangelistic Bible study on March 21. They were encouraged by the new people who came last month, including Brenda and Joe’s son, David, and his friend. Also, they continue to see results in the teens from the Children’s Home since the retreat they had last summer that Parkside VBS children paid for through their offerings. One of the teens from there who has come to Christ is excited about the team coming, and is inviting her friend to come to the planned American breakfast. It is encouraging to see the ongoing response in Austrian children because of the prayers and offerings of the children at Parkside.
