Community Day Volunteers Needed!

On August 27, all are welcome to join us for an afternoon of fun and enjoyable family activities followed by a brief outdoor service at 6pm.

In this festive atmosphere, we will be serving free food: hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn, ice-cream, and cotton candy. There will be a petting zoo and pony rides for younger children, along with balloons, face painting, and a variety of games. Older kids and adults will be able to take part in inflatables, corn hole, basketball, a climbing wall, mechanical bull, and surfing simulator.

How can you participate?

1. Pray

As we prepare for this event, please pray that God would use this opportunity to bring people to Parkside and ultimately into a saving relationship with Him. Take the time in the upcoming weeks to pray faithfully for the friends and neighbors that you can invite.

2. Invite

Throughout the church at every info station, we have cards that you can use to invite your friends and neighbors. Please grab a handful and invite winsomely and boldly.

3. Serve

Please consider serving in some way on the day itself. Can you greet people? Help cook burgers on the grill? Paint faces or assist with games? We have spots for nearly every type of service and we would be glad for your assistance! A big thank you to those who have already signed up.

New City Catechism

Q29.  Q29. How can we be saved? (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Answer: Only by faith in Jesus Christ and in his substitutionary atoning death on the cross; so even though we are guilty of having disobeyed God and are still inclined to all evil, nevertheless, God, without any merit of our own but only by pure grace, imputes to us the perfect righteousness of Christ when we repent and believe in him.
