Bibles Donated
At our Annual Meeting on October 30 we announced a new resource for us as a church, the English Standard Version Bible. You can read more at this blog posting>
Some individuals took up the opportunity to donate a copy of their old NIV and we agreed to coordinate the details and pass them along to those who would benefit from the Bibles. In addition to the Bibles donated we also boxed up the pew Bibles from both the Bainbridge and Green campuses.
Where the Went
Some have asked where the Bibles went and for your encouragement we wanted to give you just a quick summary of the donations.

Words of Thanks
Below are some of the words of thanks from those on the receiving end of the Bibles. Thank you for your generosity.
To the congregation, staff and pastors of Parkside Church, on behalf of the Oriana House residents and inmates at Bedford and Geauga Jail, The Way Out Prison and Jail Ministry thanks you for your generous gift of bibles. Many of these men and women have never opened the bible. Therefore every bible is an opportunity for His word to redeem those in darkness bringing them into the kingdom of light.
Sincerely,
Chaplain Jim Wilcox
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you - seventy time seven - for the wonderful Bibles for Brent Richards (City Mission's Cuyahoga County prison chaplain). I picked them up from Parkside today. To let you know, the joy and excitement I felt was overwhelming. I was thinking they may be the Daily Devotional Bibles, as where else would one get 120 paperback Bibles. God could use them I knew, and for this I was thankful. When I found out they were complete Bibles !!! Thank you God for your answer to prayer that was beyond my expectations.
God bless you,
Pam
