“For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” (Psalm 48:14) With this verse as one of our anchors, Summer Seaquest 2011 was launched with much prayer and work on the part of many people. Our nautical theme for this year's Vacation Bible School shaped our focus for the week as we set sail to discover the truths of God’s Word as found in the book of Jonah. We learned that the God of the Bible is the one true God, and He shows compassion and mercy to all who turn to Him in true repentance and faith (even a rebellious prophet!). Whether you just served at VBS last week or have never served, we thought it would be fun to share some Summer Seaquest “Seacrets” with you: The Gospel message was clearly presented to all children throughout the week, and children were given an opportunity to respond to Christ’s call of salvation. Though we will never fully know the fruit that was born from this week until we reach heaven, we have already heard of several children who trusted in Christ for salvation. Join us in praising the Lord for new birth and pray that many more children and their families will be saved and grow in Christ as a result of this week of VBS ministry. Finally, THANK YOU to each of you who played a role in this year’s Vacation Bible School—whether in crafts, music, recreation, mini-VBS/nursery, registration, decorations, snacks, skits, prayer team, small group leaders and assistants, or Bible teachers—every person was vital to what happened at this year's Vacation Bible School. THANK YOU! Kelly Coy, Children's Ministry Coordinator

doing Gospel work in remote villages of Mexico (much of that was given in rolls of coins!);

and helped us understand the work that is being done among the Mixteco people;

verses that we pray will remain in their hearts and minds for years to come.
