Building into the Next Generation: Parking Lot & Site Work Update

Relationships

Building into the Next Generation is about relationships: being in a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ; being built up, in Christ, through relationships with other believers; being active in promoting the gospel through relationships with unbelievers.

We sense that God is leading us in the direction of the expansion of the Bainbridge facility that will support this vision, in order that we will have capacity for the inevitable growth that we prayerfully anticipate.

The Steps

Starting in July
The Elders have decided to proceed with the expansion of the parking lot and the addition of a parking lot exit to the traffic light at Pettibone Road. We believe that this will help alleviate some parking congestion as well as assist the entry and departures from the lot with a signalized intersection. As a part of the lot expansion some of the underground storm drains and utilities will be relocated to provide drainage capacity for any future building expansion.

Steps Toward this Fall
The architect’s building drawings will be completed in September and the work competitively bid in October and November so as to more accurately determine the cost related to construction. The Elders will then determine what we will do based upon the resources available. We encourage those who have made pledges to transition toward giving as we move forward.

Seeking Ongoing Prayers
Please pray with the Elders for wisdom in leading and for the vision of everyone becoming passionate about our relationships with Christ and others; in order that we may continue to see unbelieving people become committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Plan

The site work involves the expansion of parking to the northwest, the creation of an access road at the intersection of Pettibone and Marketplace Roads, and the excavation of a new retention basin to which will be connected reworked subsurface drainage and new storm sewers.
