Navigating Uncertain Times...

Buyouts, bailouts, skyrocketing unemployment.

Strained relationships...at home, at work, at play. Mounting bills. Pressure. Shortened tempers. Stress. Will you cope? Will you survive?

In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow. Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.” So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it fall away. — Acts 27

With the events of the previous eighteen months, many men are feeling a bit like a bobber on a wind-blown sea. Tossed about by wind and waves over which they have no control. Like the sailors in Acts 27 who wanted to bail from their ship, you too have wanted to escape. You watched your own ropes cut, and your lifeboat fall away...

If you find yourself a harbor for fear, uncertainty, and doubt, then the 2010 Parkside Men’s Forum, Navigating Uncertain Times, is for you. Here is an opportunity to refocus your “spiritual GPS” on the sure and certain hope that is based on fact, not fiction.

Taught by renowned Bible teacher and pastor, Dr. Michael Easley, we will discover that it is in persevering through these times that character is forged, the character that produces hope, a hope that does not disappoint. The sailors in this story did not perish. The fact is the day after the lifeboat was gone and it seemed all hope lost, they reached land and were spared.

Come and discover the love that God has for those that are His, those who do not shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe, and are saved…
