Ministry Profile: Help & Hope in Christ
Help & Hope in Christ is a group of ministries designed for those going through difficulty. Whether the difficulty is a cancer diagnosis or unemployment, we need to find hope in Christ, guidance in the Bible, and support and encouragement in relationships with others. These three essentials are what our Help & Hope in Christ ministries at Parkside Church aim to provide.
Help & Hope in Christ Care Groups
Cancer Support is open to anyone whose life has been affected by the painful circumstances of cancer. We meet on the first Sunday of every month at 11:15am in room 224.
Dealing with Divorce provides loving and biblical counsel for men and women dealing with the heartbreak and loss of broken marriages. We meet on Thursdays at 7pm in room 227 from Sept. 24th through Nov. 5th.
Finding Freedom is a 12-week discussion group for those struggling to experience freedom in Christ, whether from unhelpful patterns in their life or severe addiction. We meet on Tuesdays at 7pm in room 202 from Sept. 22nd through Dec. 8th.
Grieving with Hope comforts those who have lost a loved one and meets every Thursday at 7pm in room 226 from Oct. 1st through Oct. 29th.
Parents in Crisis is for parents experiencing great difficulty with their teenager or young adult. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7pm in room 228.
Single Moms extends friendship and practical assistance to those who face unexpected singleness and the challenge of raising children alone. We meet on Thursdays at 6:30pm in room 224 from Sept. 24th through Nov. 5th.
Help & Hope in Christ Workshops
Caring for Aging Parents examines financial and legal considerations as well as family dynamics and end of life issues from a biblical perspective. This workshop is offered twice a year.
Job Seekers discusses self-assessment, marketing yourself effectively, and interviewing dynamics. This workshop is offered twice a year, and a small group follows this seminar.
Managing Your Money looks at biblical wisdom regarding budgeting, debt reduction and handling crisis. This workshop is offered twice a year.
Passion for Purity deals with the pervasive issue of pornography in our society. This workshop is offered once a year.
