A Facility Update

Over the past months, you may have noticed some extra activity around the church property. We want to take a minute and fill you in on the details.

Orange Cones

We are thankful for your patience during the delayed travel time in arriving to the church property over the past months! As part of a project to upgrade some of the church’s infrastructure systems, Pettibone Road has been under construction as we connect the underground water and sewer lines to tap into city water. These connections have been completed. The parking lot repair and patching of the trenching work will be completed this spring. Road construction on Pettibone is scheduled to be completed in September 2009.

Flat Screens

TV in church? In January, we installed eighteen flat screen video monitors throughout the building to provide another avenue of communication for events and announcements. They are all networked and zoned to give us flexibility in the future to provide information that is specific to the ministry taking place in specific areas of the building. Examples of the information you might find on these monitors include elder profiles, which began last week. The goal of these profiles is to help you get to know our elders better so that you can pray for them as they serve you.

2 Buildings

Did you know that Parkside now has a second campus? The official launch of Parkside Church: Green Campus was on 2.22.09. Over 800 people gathered with us to celebrate this exciting step for us as a church. Click here > to view pics from the launch.

The Green Campus will have music and prayer led by staff onsite, and the sermon will be delivered by Alistair Begg via video. We’ve installed high-def technology to record the 8:30am service at Bainbridge and transport it to the Green Campus for the 11:00am service for a same day, delayed playback on newly installed high-def equipment at that location. The first video sermon took place on 3.15.09 and was well received by those in attendance. If you live in the Green area, consider worshipping with us there some Sunday.
