  • Club JV Parents Night

    Hello Middle School Parents,

Just wanted to let you know that this Tuesday Jan 31st we will be having a parents night at Club JV.  What does this mean?  Beginning at 7:00pm we'll spend the first half hour or so spending time with parents and students talking, playing games, and hanging out.  Then we will have a time of a few activities and worship.  Around 8:00 I'll have all of the parents join me on the Loft side of the Warehouse while Tim Shaw, one of our pastoral interns, teaches the students from God's word.  This night will be an opportunity for me as your student's pastor to update you about what we have studied in God's Word and what we will be studying in the coming weeks.  It's also an oppotunitty for a time of discussion and questions.  I hope that this will be a time where we are challenged and encouraged as we seek to partner together in teaching youth about our great God.

I'll bring the coffee and snacks, looking forward to our time together.

    Thanks!

    Jon

  • The Great Commission and A Body Shop Manager

Over the past few months Parkside Church Lake County has had the great privilege to begin meeting together with a focus on prayer and Bible study. During these sessions, Pastor Scott has emphasized the purpose and foundation of this church plant repeatedly- share the great gospel of Jesus Christ!  During this time I (Ben Bollman) have personally felt God working in my heart and convicting me of my half-hearted attitude towards Jesus’s Great Commission.  This past week God decided to give me an opportunity that the Parkside church plant had been praying for...

  • Who Are the Pastors in Your Neighborhood?

A few years ago Mandy and I were sitting in a Starbucks on Chagrin Boulevard on a Saturday night. A couple walked in and Mandy said to me, "I think I know that couple." We just kept sitting there and kind of slipped somewhat into creeper mode. I'm pretty sure we were staring and whispering. Finally when we could take it no longer (and I can't exactly remember who made the first move) we introduced ourselves and Mandy put it together with the couple...

    Boys

    Location: The Warehouse
    Start Time: Fri 20, Jan. 2012, 8:30 p.m.
    End Time: Fri 20, Jan. 2012, 10 p.m.

What do you get when you combine elementary-aged boys, balls of various types, pizza, and the Warehouse on a Friday night? You get a Boys’ Game Night event (BGN) that is all about good, old-fashioned “boy fun.” Boys’ Game Nights occur 3-4 times a year and are open to any boys in Kindergarten-5th grade. Boys must be in attendance with a male adult (dad, grandpa, uncle, friend), and we hear stories that the adults have just as much fun (maybe more?) as the kids do!
