A recent trip: Construction Project in East Asia

This past April 16-28, we sent out a team of five to work with a non-profit foundation to rebuild homes in an area of Asia hit by an earthquake. The team of 5 had the purpose of going to assist locals in home rebuilding. With flexible attitudes the team embarked and not only did they assist in construction, but they also took part in such activity as teaching English to kindergarten students.

Trips like these are ideal for those who have servant hearts and willing hands. Part of the trip was spent encouraging local believers in the faith as well as donating everything from multivitamins to bicycles. While there were things the team knew they were going to experience there were a ton of things they did not expect to experience. And as is true on all short term trips this is what God readied them for.

One team member summed up the experience this way, “God did more than we could imagine and used our weaknesses and challenges to show us that HE will accomplish His purposes even through jars of clay like us.”  Read more about this trip in a recent Insider article.
